a reasonable stay near historic sites
lovely design secure parking external noise soundproofing
The building possessed a lovely design, and the room was large, it provided ample space. i found the staff really good. They were helpful and flexible. i appreciated the secure parking facilities. This gave me peace of mind.
The hotel is on a main road and beside a rail line. This created external noise. i found that the hotel did not have sufficient soundproofing. It didn't block the noise of trains and traffic. this impacted my stay, as i could hear disturbances at night.

historic charm with modern comfort
electric car indoor pool receptionist help
the receptionist showed us to our room which i liked. free parking was available and charging for our electric car was much appreciated. the indoor pool is magnificent and i want to try the spa treatments next time.
the air conditioning did not work and the reception staff constantly lied about it being fixed. a bit of honesty goes a long way and we would have happily accepted a fan if we had known from the offset that we would be so toasty warm at night.

the staff was attentive and ready to fulfill any request. the reception offered a professional and friendly welcome. every staff member was genuinely kind, attentive, and ready to help with a smile.

rooms were spacious and super clean cleaned at least twice a day. the rooms had a wonderful sense of warmth and harmony. soft bed linens were included in the rooms, providing comfort .

the hotel included a stylish and spacious lobby. there is a large outdoor pool with comfortable loungers. the spa area featured a sauna, steam room, various showers, a large indoor pool, several relaxing rooms, and even an ice shower.

breakfast had generous options offered buffet and à la carte style. fresh local flavors were present at breakfast each morning. delicious sweets and champagne provided a warm welcome upon arrival.

Inconsistent Comfort, A Mixed Stay
great pressure water pressure terrible backache thin topper
The shower had great water pressure. That was definitely welcome.
The mattress had a very thin topper. Staff said it was there to join two single beds into a double (I thought that was quite amateur). I am not heavy, but I sank into it, and I had a terrible backache. I ended up removing it myself late at night.

broken air conditioning empty promises
The breakfast was acceptable.
The air conditioning did NOT work properly. The staff repeatedly said it was fixed, but the room remained warm. This felt dishonest and frustrating as no real solution or compensation was offered, JUST empty promises.

fresh food pillow menu daily chocolates
The breakfast had fresh food. I liked the pillow menu. It let me swap the default pillow. The hotel also gave us a bottle of water and chocolates every day.
I noticed the neighborhood was a bit noisy at times.
